Yeah, I've been out of the loop for awhile... but I'm working my way back into this blogging thing. Starting with the vice presidential debate (yeah, I know it's a little late... bite me)

John Edwards.An ABC News snap poll showed Cheney the winner, aided by a more-Republican audience, while a CBS News poll among undecided voters showed the opposite.
Oh yeah... like we can trust anything that comes from them after the whole Rathergate debacle. Whatever.
And something else I wanted to touch on at the time... this draft bullshit.

Republicans accused Democrats of feeding the rumor mill to scare young voters and their parents into voting against Bush."This campaign is a baseless, malevolent concoction of the Democratic Party and everyone in this chamber knows it," said House Majority Leader Tom DeLay of Texas.
The House voted 402-2 to defeat the draft bill offered last year by Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y.
Even he urged Democrats to vote against the bill, and charged Republicans were cynically trying to use the measure to escape election-season questions about the war in Iraq.
So wait a second here... a bill to reinstate the draft was introduced by a DEMOCRAT and it's our REPUBLICAN president who's planning on reinstating the draft? Am I getting the gist of all this? Did I read that right?
I'm not sure what's worse... that someone started this whole draft nonsense or that people are sheep-like enough to buy into it. Shit, I had Brad asking me about the damn draft thing a few days ago... I basically told him what Matt at Blackfive had to say about the whole damn thing... the military does not want a draft.
Here's the nasty shit I hate about politics... all the lies, all the bickering, all the deception. It's all wrapped up in that news story. But as much as I hate politics, that's not going to keep me from voting in November.

Hey, thanks for stopping by! My ex-girlfriend was on state aid when she was pregnant and Wisconsin picked up the tab for the birthing costs when my daughter was born. Of course, they wanted me to pay the birthing costs back, which I don't have a problem with... I mean, this is my daughter afterall. My problem with the whole ordeal, and the reason why they're raping me in the ass is, they have reported all of this to the IRS so that Wisconsin can intercept all of my future federal tax refunds until the hospital bill is paid back. Sure the money is owed to them, but I'd prefer to give them the money myself rather than have it 'seized'. I guess it's just the way I perceive things... but hopefully I can get it paid off before tax time rolls around so I can spend my refund on my daughter and spoil her to no end :-D
